So I’ve been so scarce around here. One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to start blogging at least 3 times per week. I know, I know, but I am one of those people that does well with setting attainable goals and then sticking to them! I am a total compulsive listmaker, so maybe that’s why I do well with New Year’s resolutions. Anyway, here’s to hoping.
The holidays have been very hectic, trying to juggle all our field trips and visiting and park group activities and toy drives and my 2 part-time jobs and homeschooling (I gave it a brave go this year and… well… we got a lot more done this year than we did last year during the holidays). I’ve also been on a massive decluttering and redecorating spree that as taken a bit longer than expected. Who knew one small one-bedroom apartment could hold that much STUFF? Oh yeah… I did!
Pictures coming soon, but today I’m too tired. I got my whole living room done and ready for Christmas dinner, which I’m hosting for my family, and Shorty helped decorate by making this adorable print-and-fold Santa’s Forest scene from FamilyFun.com (they have a LOT more activities at the link – it’s Disney’s family fun web site!) It’s now prominently displayed right at our front entrance. It seriously came out so cute, and we printed it high-quality and on heavy cardstock, so they’re usable next year. Shorty is very proud of himself and pointing it out “subtly” to anyone who comes over.
Happy holidays, Merry Christmas and a blessed and joyous new year! See you all in 2009.
